When you subscribe to PressUP your name, email address and telephone number will be stored to allow us to communicate with you about our services. This information will never be sold or given to a third party.
We collect and store the domain names of any websites that you wish to be managed by PressUP.
We create backup copies of your website files and database daily and store them for a time determined by your package.
To allow us to set up the PressUP service on your website we will need a user account with Administrator privileges. We will never update the content of your website without your express written permission and you can delete our user account at any time.
We will also require FTP, sFTP or SSH login details for your server so that we can configure our services and to allow us to maintain your site. These can also be revoked at any time.
If you choose a package that includes a WordPress firewall, we may require access to your domain administration account to configure this service.
If you choose to pay by PayPal or GoCardless you will be sent a link to the secure payment gateway from the provider, where it will be collected and stored securely. We do not have direct access to your payment information.
We use “cookies” to collect information and improve our website services. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your device. You can instruct your browser, by changing its options, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit. If you do not accept cookies, however, you may not be able to take full advantage of all aspects of the website.
We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected and do not share your information with anyone except to provide you with support, protect our rights or unless we are required to by law.
Email information is used for the purposes of site log-in and administration and for the provision of support services in response to a request via the site feedback form.
On your request we may access website backup files as part of our support services, however this is limited to viewing or copying the backup zip-file itself and will never include modifying the file or accessing the backup file content.
We use Amazon S3 to provide our data storage service. You can find more information on Amazon’s data security from the S3 site.
We use Sucuri for security hardening and protection.
We use WP Remote to administer WordPress core, theme and plugin updates. Their security policy is available on their website.
If you wish to change or delete any of the information that we hold, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and our records will be amended as quickly as possible.
We will retain your information for as long as your subscription is active or as needed to provide you services. If you cancel your subscription all backup data files held from that site will be deleted within 24 hours. If you wish to cancel your subscription or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services, please email email@example.com and your information will be deleted quickly upon request.
We are committed to ensuring that your information and data is secure. Any information we collect from you will be stored in an encrypted system. Website backups are stored on Amazon Web Services’ S3 storage platform, which is secured by 256 bit AES encryption.
This policy may be changed from time to time. You will be emailed before any changes are made so that you can let us know you are happy with them.
